Build Stage Area for EBS R12.2 Installation

Prepare Stage Area:-

  1.  Create Stage Directory  
  2. download the installation software 
  3. Download startCD 51 as Patch 22066363 
  4.  Unzip startHere CD for getting buildStage.sh
  5. patch the stage area with the latest consolidated fixes
  6. ready to run Rapid Install.

1) Create Stage Directory 

For Linux User 

$ mkdir -p  /u02/Soft/OracleEBS


2) Download the Installation Software 


a) Sign in to the Oracle Software Delivery Cloud with your My Oracle Support Credentials.

b) Select Download Package as the search category, enter Oracle E-Business Suite as the search term, and choose Search


c) In the search results, select the latest Oracle E-Business Suite package for Release 12.2, such as Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.9.0.0

d) Click the Selected Software cart.
e) Select only the following releases: and Continue for Download 


3)  You can download startCD 51 as Patch 22066363 


When using startCD 12.2.0.51, you must choose option 1 to create a new stage area. create a new stage area to obtain the currently required Oracle Fusion Middleware Web Tier Utilities patch set.

4) Unzip startHere CD for getting buildStage.sh


Execute bulildStage.sh script for creating Stage


Select 1 for Create new Stage Area  

Select 2 for Linux 


After build stage, you can see directories as below 


5) patch the stage area with the latest consolidated fixes


1) download Patch 25525148 from My Oracle Support.

2) Unzip this patch using the following command:

3) Patch the stage area using the following commands:
   
     sh patchRIStage.sh

Additional StartCD Patch

Patch 29963728RI upgrade fixes for Database 19c (for 12.1.3 to 12.2 upgrade

6) ready to run Rapid Install

Mask sensitive data in cloned (non-production) EBS 12.2 environments using EBS 12.2 Data Masking Template with EM 13C.

Due to data dependencies, scrambling E-Business Suite data is very time consuming and difficult task, because application functionality should work after Data Mask .  Oracle Provides Pre defined Data Masking Pack ( EBSMaskingPack 2.0.7) it is   Certified     with EBS R12.2 , We can easily do Data Masking on Test environment   using OEM 13 C with  Pre defined Data Masking Pack.    Data Masking Template certified with EBS R12.2 does the following.
